New Year, New Adjustments for Everything

I am 17 Days late into making a post on this Blog after the New Year, but here we are! I will show progress on ProjectR.

The last time I posted on this blog was on New Years Eve or New Years day depending on time zone and when you are reading this. This is a 17 day late Happy New Years!

I have been making tons of changes to my Website Portfolio and a bunch of my social media links. First of all, my website now has a new domain! I think it looks great and makes things a lot more neater. No need to worry if you are accessing this portfolio from the old address. The old address will still take you here. Second of all, I made myself a small logo that will appear as an icon on the tab that is opened to my website. These two changes, while small, make a ton of difference to me and I feel great. I also did update my LinkedIn address link, but once again the old link works just as fine.

Second of all, the new version for ProjectR has yet to be released. I do have updates on what I have so far: one being the Purple Vortex move having a new UI keybind on the screen, and the other being a bug with the options screen.

This move has a purple color when ready and the same grey color when on cooldown. The cooldown for this move is 8 seconds. The Purple Vortex itself does not have any bright colors or particle effects on it yet, which will be adjusted later using Niagara. While the move does look big, it does look cool. Now, onto the bug:

When you press the options button, it opens up the ThirdPersonPlayer Game Controller. I forgot if I need to tie in the Options Game Mode and the Options UI together somehow, or perhaps there is an error between unloading and loading the scenes, but I will get to the bottom of it. The options button is intended to have controls like a volume slider control, aspect ratio adjustments, and most importantly a list dedicated to the controls on how to play in game. The controls on how to play the game are going to be my first priority, which is just a lot of text being typed into the boxes.

I plan to keep up my once a week posts consistent, along with my regular work activities I have outside of these blog posts. That is all for now, see you next week!
